Annual Budget

The City Council adopts a proposed budget in September and a final budget in December each year.

Utility Billing

The City of Badger bills monthly for water, sewer, refuse and mosquito spraying as well as annually for the mandated Safe Drinking Water Act Fee (SDWAF).

Shut Off Notices

Shut off notices are mailed to account holders once they owe for the previous month(s).  Door knob shut off hanger notices are delivered monthly and the water will be shut off if not paid within 2 days of receiving the door knob hanger.

Water Charges

$35 for the first 2000 gallons (minimum) of water usage and an additional $3.00 for every 1000 gallons of water usage after the first 2000 gallons.

Sewer Charges

$22.00 flat fee

Refuse Charges
  • Regular Residential Rate: $17.50 per month plus tax of $1.61.
  • Age 60 and older: $16.50 per month plus tax of $1.51.
  •  Commercial Rate: figured per cubic yard of waste/dumpster plus tax and adjusted accordingly.
Mosquito Spraying Fee

$3.00 per month

Safe Drinking Water Act Fee

$6.36 annual fee the city must collect and submit to the Department of Revenue in compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act. Call the city office for other charges such as late fees, disconnect/reconnect fees, hook up fees etc.

Fee Schedule

The City Council adopts a fee schedule each year during their annual meeting in January for various city services.
