  • PUBLIC WORKS/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The City of Badger is seeking applicants for the position of Public Works/Maintenance Technician. Duties include the supervision and coordination over several public works functions. Plan, develop, direct, and implement the streets, water, wastewater, electric, park/land management, and building and grounds; to include strategic planning, record management, inventory and capital acquisition, and the facilitation of all maintenance and operating activities. Responsible for Federal, State, and local reports. Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent, minimum of a Minnesota Class C Driver's license, Class D Wastewater license (or ability to obtain within 2 years);
Class C Water license (or ability to obtain within one year of employment). Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential. Qualified hire will receive an estimated two year on the job training and oversight by a Class D licensed water/wastewater operator. Requirements include Class D Water and Wastewater licensure, or the ability to obtain these within two years of employment, and a valid driver’s license. Residency within a 20-minute radius of Badger is preferred, but not required.

Beginning pay is $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is full time and includes a competitive benefits package.
